Irish Spaniel & Retriever Championships 2000

There were cross channel success stories in the 25 th. Irish Kennel Club Spaniel Championship, held at Slane Castle, County Meath, on 27 & 28 December 2000.

Scottish handler, Eddie Scott went home with the silverware when his English springer spaniel bitch, Broomfield Bonnet, took top place





Husband and wife team, Ian and Wendy Openshaw from England took second and third place respectively, in the Irish Kennel Club Spaniel Championship at Slane Castle

It was very much local success at the Irish Kennel Club's Retriever Championship, held at Coolattin Estate, County Wicklow on 29 & 30 December 2000. County Tyrone handler, Dermot Donnelly, with his Labrador Int. Ft.Ch. Dynamic Druid, took the top honours. Dermot has been placed in the last three Irish Retriever Championships with a 3rd place in 1998, a 2nd place in 1999, with the crowning glory coming in 2000 with the title Irish Retriever Champion.
